Too often we spend only a few hours thinking about a passage of the Bible.  There are verses that profoundly affect how we think and deserve more than a quick read.  I suggest spending the work week with these devotions.  Then after a week, lets come together to discuss the passage.

On the Friday of the week an extended discussion of the Bible passage will be posted and the devotional will be opened for comment.

This devotional area expands on the weekly devotionals available with the journal.

Each devotional starts by expanding on what is available in the journal; background material, discussions of language, pointers to other parts of scripture, and the set of reflection questions.

The second section is my observations after having done the devotions.  I strongly recommend that you follow the  devotion yourself before reading my comments.  This is the area that will be opened up the Friday after the devotional period in the Journal, and will remain open.

Finally, the devotions are open for comments and reflections by other.  To be included in the discussion you must be registered on the site.
